I want to be who my Soul knows me to be.

Every morning when I wake up,
I want to be who my Soul knows me to be.
How is it that she would dwell in this earthly body? What sensory delights would she notice in a day?
Would she take in the cool breeze of the evening brushing across her arms?
Or the warm ray of morning sun softening her brow?
Would she smell the ripe open petals of each flower she passes, unhurried to be anywhere but now?
Would she look into her own eyes and see sparks of celestial light?
And delight in seeing that very same spark in the eyes of each person she encounters?
Would she sing made up tunes to the moon, and listen deeply to the silence?
Would her limbs flow through yoga asanas,
taking shapes of animals and Saints,
warriors and Gods,
to see what they have to teach her?
So alive,
Vibrating to the speed of Life,
Soul in form.
In her heart, she seems to hum-
“Sat Nam,
Sat Nam,
So Hum.
I am me but I am One,
Here today, tomorrow gone.
How fun,
How fun!”
